Legacy Gift of George Tomazi

George Tomazi

Our mission at the Humane Society of Missouri is to end animal abuse and pet overpopulation. Until we do, our promise is to provide care and compassion to animals in need. By including us in his estate plan, George Tomazi is ensuring we can fulfill this mission.

George believes in using his talents as gifts for others. His talents are immense, as are his gifts to the Humane Society of Missouri. George will tell you he has gotten so much more in return. He and his late wife, Lois, are lifelong dog lovers with Lois volunteering for years as a dog walker. They have adopted far too many dogs to name, with Allie now George’s dear companion.

Retired from his most recent position as Director of Design and Construction for Mallinckrodt, George’s involvement with HSMO began when his expertise was enlisted for a project. This favor evolved into a 23-month volunteer effort, resulting in the establishment of our current headquarters. Subsequently, George volunteered his skills to oversee multiple large construction projects for HSMO: Longmeadow Rescue Ranch, Best Buddy Center, and the former Chesterfield location.

With Allie at his side, George reflects fondly on his and Lois’ deep connection with HSMO. George has clearly used his talents as gifts. Now through the generosity of his legacy gift, he will have a lasting impact on an organization that he cares deeply about long after he is gone.
